I think everything will turn out allright! Things will eventually settle down and you will have one big happy flock.

Well it is morning here Barg, don't know where you are at. Are they ok? Just let them do their thing again tonight. I remember at first my three silkies sat right in the doorway of the coop and my DH shoved them in to shut up the door. It will be much better as time goes.

This is Barg's wife Colleen jumping in. I am posting this here so he will see it first thing. I opened the door to the roost at 4:45. The sky was just starting to get light in the East. Everyone was still alive and sleeping. They woke up a bit and the big girls gave the little ones a "what the hell are you doing in here" look, and then everyone went back to sleep. Hopefully all goes well later in the day.

I probably won't post too much since Steve is such a computer hog. I do enjoy jumping in to read a lot, though.

Yes, Colleen

Thank you, we were all on tenterhooks here wanting to know how the girls survived the night!

As soon as it was fully light (6:00 or so) the big girls came out like normal. The little ones were nowhere to be seen. I opened the door to the roost, and the 2 little ones were sitting up on the roost in the corner. I tried to lure them out with some corn, but they were not interested. Then I tried to push them out. No dice. I wasn't able to get them to come out of the roost. Then I ran out of time and had to go to work. Curses - I hate working for "the Man." But when I left, everyone was alive and well. Maybe not all that happy about the new arrangement, but it wasn't WW III like it was on the first day.

Usually, later on in the morning, the big girls go back into the roost area to rest. I wonder if they will chase the little girls out of there. I wish I has a chicken cam here at work so I could see what is going on. Steve and the kids sleep in until late (must be nice!), so I'm sure he will have more updates when they all roll out of bed.
