Pigmy Baby- LICE!
I just picked up a Pigmy Doeling that is 2 weeks old. I noticed she seemed on the small and skinny side. I was looking her over really good today and found she is covered with lice and lice eggs. I'm going to bath her tomorrow. What would be better oral Ivomec or pour on. She only weighs a couple of pounds...Gloria

I have used the adams or happy jack flea and tick spray on mine after a good bath. I do not know if she is old enough for the oral ivomec? bathing and spraying should do the trick....

Poor baby! I am glad she got a good home with you. I don't have any advice on which to use but I would definitely go the topical route. Where did she come from? Maybe they may know something even though she seemed to be a bit neglected. I hope all goes well.

I put the pour on Ivomec on a cottonball and rubbed it along her spine. It sure helped alot. That's where most of the lice were. None there now! I'll wait and see how well that works for now...Gloria
