Re: feeding and watering dispenser ?

are your girls laying?  they're plenty old enough to switch them to layer - pellet, crumble or mash.  scratch is okay as a treat, but make sure that the bulk of their diet is their food.  and your roos can eat the layer too - or you can feed all of them a general "flock raiser" and make sure to supplement the calcium w/oyster shell.  the nice thing about the flock raiser is that all ages can eat it - so when you have a mixed age flock, as it sounds like you do - you only have one bag of chicken food.  smile

once they start laying, you should also offer a separate small bowl of oyster shell so that they can self-regulate their calcium needs (layer food has elevated calcium, but some hens need more than others).

also offer a bowl of grit separately (not the same as oyster shell - oyster shell breaks down quickly, grit stays intact much longer to help them with breaking down stuff they eat).  if they free range, you probably don't need to worry so much about grit, as they can pick up small pebbles, etc on their own.  i still offer a bowl of grit to my girls even though they free range part time...

AND to answer your original question, there are about a million different feeders and waterers out there - here are the ones i use, and i love them:

the feeder i have - holds 11# i think, and they don't bill food out of it and waste it all over the ground!

and this is similar to the the waterer i have, only mine's just a 3 gallon size - have had it for 2 1/2 years and it still looks new:

Re: feeding and watering dispenser ?

Dispenser is a device used when drinking a water. But, honestly I don't have any idea if what choices do you have as to feed and water offerings.
