We went out this evening to shut the run door to the coop and noticed that there was a little trail of blood in two areas, with what looked like "drips". I stood in the coop for a long time trying to figure out who, what , when and where? I could not tell that any of the 56 chicks was acting oddly other than my White Crested Polish. He had been picked on for days, and I moved him to a different area, and upon moving him back, he got upset and fell over as if he went into shock. I gave him all the "stuff" and the heat lamp, and he seems better, but the other birds won't let him into the run.
I guess I am rambling, but didn't see that he was injured. Polish (at least mine) don't tend to roost high as they can't see up because of all the feathers!....so he is on lower roost with the other polish.
Do hens who are just starting to lay eggs ever have problems that would cause them to bleed?
Mine are almost 4 months old ( JULY 4th hatched). I wondered if one of the roos didn't hurt one of the hens trying to mate with them? And if that is the case, how on earth will I figure that one out?
Any ideas on what could be the issue?

I have seen a little blood on the outside of a 1st egg, but never enough blood that would leave a trail of drips.
Maybe one was pecked too hard and it's dried now with no open wound.
