please do let us know. I am not sure if it is a broken bone or not. IF it is... Only a vet can help and only an Avian vet unless you make sure that the vet knows ... 1. the wing bones are connected to the bird respiratory system and bacteria will get in via the bone. 2. Chicken skin is different than other birds... it heals slowly. Regular stitches will help the bacteria get in! 3. Baytril works well on the chickens also but Fortaz is much better and you can give the shots... a vet will show you.
No disrespect to the lady next door, but if that is a bone... no amount of bandaging will work. No matter how hard you try.

Okay, yea she explained most of this. But we're gonna keep it bandaged for now until we can get ahold of a vet, with a reasonable price. I'll have to ask my mom, she's worked with veterinarians before, maybe one of them can do us a little favor(:

I really hope so. Was the bone broken?

That chick may die while a vet is located. Keep an eye on her because she may be in shock.

Yea, the bone was broken, when we bandaged it we made sure it was protected and we put two splints on the bottom and top halves of the wing, so that they don't rub against each other and make it bleed again. She seems to be doing okay, but you can never be sure I guess. I fed her right after I bandaged it and she was eating pretty vigorously. Hungry birdie(: She seems more tame though, is it because she knows she needs fixin'? lol ^^

Well... bandaged it to protect it as much as I can right now. I'll try and search for more vets today...
