Thanks for the info. I knew you could grab the birds when they are asleep, but did you have any light, or blue light to help see what YOU are doing? It would have been interesting to see you in action! It had to take forever. I live East of you about an hour +-. I don't have any large barns, and my coop is dry.... the weather doesn't impact the inside. I suppose it doesn't matter that I keep it dry, but that it is a good place for them to hide. Do you use DE and would that help prevent the over wintering?
Sorry for all the questions. I tend to over think!
thanks for you help and patience.

I used a flashlight set on a bench with the vaccine bottle right in front of it. not fun to dip and stab each chicken but I took my time and got it done! Turned them over and spread out the wing and dip and stab and it was easier cause they held still in the night.
Also important to keep the vaccine cold so I used a cup of ice to drop bottle in when I was not immediately using it....
I thought about spraying the barn down with some type of bug spray but unsure if it would affect the chickens even tho I would do it when they were outside...
I keep goldfish in the horse troughs and even in the call ducks pool to stop mosquitoes but neighbors have ponds..
I have not tried the DE but learned that fowl pox can be spread in the waterers and by lice and mites traveling from bird to bird. Because of sparrows I do feed and water mine in their barns...

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide the information. I have learned so much from this forum. I know you are busy with the vaccination of all those birds, and trying to keep the ones infected on the road to recovery.
Keep us posted on how you are doing, and thank you so very much!!!!
