Yep mine will step up on your hand when they are out of the cage. They are easy birds to tame.
Mine was hand raised by a pet store owner. She specilizes in birds. These were my sisters but she would beat on the cage and all types of stuff. They was more friendlier than my parakeets. You could stick your hand in the cage and they would walk on it and would climb on you and bird talk to you and do what you do but now there wild and want to bite. I`ve been bitten a lot but I figured out that mine will get on stuff they can not bite good. Like my finger the try to tear it off, but my arm they step on it and climb up to my shoulder. The do bite hard and are hard to tame. I will try to put a video on it tommorow of both of them and let you see them try to attack me. I use gloves to take them out and sometimes won`t bite.
Heres attacking Bubba and Jaws
Purplechicken I just love your Nanday Conure~!!!!! My absolute favorit conure, just can't seem to get my hand on one.......
I myself am owned by a pair of Masked Blue Lovebirds(Sable and Sakuya, currently on 5 eggs), 1 seagreen peachfaced lovebird(Dutchie), 1 dutch blue peachfaced lovebird(Bug) and a Slate whitefaced Lovebird(Pitch).
Oh, and I should not forget my 2 normal pied cockatiels Chichi and Rico, and my 2 bourke parakeet hens Kala and Kushi.
Pitch @ 8 weeks old(in feburary)
here is Pitch again last week
Sable and Sakuya
Bug and Dutchie. Dutchie is a disabled bird with huge scars on his back and his feather kinda grow in all directions there, so he looks ruffled but thats normal for him. He cannot fly(the scarred skin on his back makes him unable to move his wings much) and gets seizures when stressed. When I first got him I thought he would not even make it through the night.. he does quite well now.
Rico, doing what he does best, get annoyed and angry at anything that moves... he esspecially hates hands, my mom loves petting him tho(he doesn't bite hard and he does the cutest little anger squeals)
Unfortunately I dont have any pictures of my dear old cockateil, Tres, who I had for many years, but I have some of my dumb old parrotlet, Yoshi!
He was cute, you had to give him that. But a pain n the rear! I eventually adopted him out to a new home who actually appreciates him, so it's a win win situation!
STOP Tempting me with your evil parrot pictures, Don't you people have any compassion for a Parrotaholic.
Hi, my name is steve and I have been parrot free for 13 years. At my peak I had approximately 50 birds in a two bedroom apartment.
Lately I have been having these urges again.
Recently I went to the pet store for guinea pig stuff and found myself in the bird room; my children's screams of "daddy they don't sell pigloos in here" went completely ignored. I have been weak.
Oh, nice birds.
I would comment on each one individually, but it's better if i don't.
Except I'll just say thelittlechickenman, get those budgies some girlfriends and some boxes, your never gonna get babies with 3 boys
Awesome pics everyone. I love these parrot aposts.
Bubba & Jaws They look vicious like silkies.
I think Barg needs to give in and get his kids a pair of keets.
Kiwi(boy) Sky(boy) Casper(girl)
hoping for eggs every day.
I don`t know. They ain`t started laying yet. For little finches the pet store owner has nest for them.
The Love Birds are so cute. We had one when in vet tech school named Vulture. I called him a Popsicle bird. When we had lectures, the bird would get louder and louder until we could not hear the person at all. I ended up taking him home and finding a nice mate for him. And he was a biter. He chased the cat and dog around the house. I ended giving him to a nice lady who had a ton of lovebirds.
