Recipe Request

In this thread, we will be posting various recipe requests. We request that any recipes, will be placed in the appropriate thread, and a link placed here. This is in effort to keep the recipes in a single thread to make them easily found.

Now how did I give you that idea?? http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink060.gif

rotflol

Hot Butter Rum

In large suace pan

1 Pound box of brown sugar

1 Pound box powder sugar

1 Pound butter (no substitutes)

1 Quart vanilla ice cream

1 teaspoon allspice

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

Heat slowly over low heat until like cake batter. Remove from heat and allow to come to room temperature. Spoon into Masson jars and freeze.

To Serve:

Place 1 heap teaspoon of batter in each mug.

Then Add:

1 jigger rum

1 jigger brandy

Fill with HOT milk or water and mix. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

**Keep batter frozen and scoop out as needed!**

We only drink it with hot milk. Yes it is a rich batter but you are only adding one heap teaspoon to each mug you are not eating it right out of the jar......although after a rough night http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink048.gif it is very enjoyable!!
