Re: Berry Plant Question

You can buy thornless blackberries now. All the seed and plant catologs have them. Like Burgess and Millers.

Re: Berry Plant Question

Did you ever get your raspberries, Lady Gaia?  Ours are really rolling.  We have eaten raspberry shortcake, raspberry pie, I have given them away and given them to the chickens.  We even have about 10 quarts in the freezer.  And they just keep coming!!!  This is the best raspberry year we have ever had.  Maybe because this is the first year I have watered them.  doh

Re: Berry Plant Question

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THEM!!! We really need a "drooling" smilie. Was your spring really wet and cool, too? Ours was, but I haven't heard if the raspberries are as good and if the late (awful) spring made a difference.

Re: Berry Plant Question

Our spring was extremely cool and wet.  It seemed like summer would never start!  Maybe that has something to do with it.  Our plants usually get a bit bigger and spread out every year, but this season has been exceptional.
