Oh that's a tough one! My in-laws have a huge deer population in their area and can't even have a garden because of them. We have them around here but I've only seen one in my yard once (in 18 years or so). Our backyard is fenced and we have three male dogs that urinate around the perimeter. I think that may help. Hope you find a solution.  I only have to worry about the chickens getting my veggies!

13 chickens: red stars, buff orpingtons, easter eggers, welsummers, barnevelders (two hens of each breed), one black australorp, one mutt,  one silkie rooster, 2 khaki campbell and 2 blue swedish ducks, 6 coturnix quail. 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a rabbit. One son (6 years old) and one husband. : )

OK, here is Jerry Bakers Dear buster eggnog.......  Beware, it does stink to high heavens!

2 eggs
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp of Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp of cayenne pepper
2 cups of water

Put all of the ingredients into blender and puree. Allow mixture to sit for 2 days, then pour or spray all over and around the plants you  need to protect.

(we do double the tobasco, and when we make it, we make it 5 gallons + at a time since we have a large garden.)

Jacie, here is one for squirrels:

2 Tbsp. of cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp of Tabasco Sauce
2 Tbsp. of chili powder
1 Tbsp of Murphy's Oil Soap
1 Qt. warm water

Mix all ingredients together, pour into a handheld sprayer, and liberally spray on all your plants.

Re: ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH

I have no clue, I haven't used that one before, I don't think I have seen a squirrel in the three years we have lived here.

Re: ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH

I've been told this works, but I have not tried it myself.

Go by a local barber shop and ask them for a sack of hair.

Put the hair in a cloth bag and tie it to a tree along the outer perimeter of your garden.

The human scent is supossed to repell deer.

I've heard dog urine works also, as well as human urine.

Re: ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH

the hair thing works, and get all the fellows in your family to pee around the garden perimeter

you can also purchase fox or other predator pee at a hunting/fishing store

the more you work out there an leave your scent the less they will come around UNLESS you have been feeding them.

of course, in the crock pot works too!
