My Turtles

Here are my 6 Red Ear Sliders...

I have a smaller tank (55 gallon, concaved?) with 2 itty bitty turtles... They are maybe half the size of the palm of my hand... The water's a bit green, but that's an old picture... Not sure you can even see them in the picture. But I promise they look the same as the others! LOL

Here is my big tank (120 gallon, in my living room and my sisters cat used to fall in all the time...and I have no idea why the water looks brown in the picture...? ) There are 4 large turtles in here. I haven't put the little ones in with them because apparently they are territorial and try to eat them!

Another picture of my hand for size purposes, brown water again???

Re: My Turtles

That is so cool Rachy.  Are they as interesting as fish are to watch?

Re: My Turtles

They are even more interesting when you put fish in there! LOL or a frog.... LOL

Yeah, I think they are better to watch than fish since they have more of a personality than fish.

Re: My Turtles

Steve used to have a red eared slider.  It was terminally unhappy being in its tank, and spent all day with its nose in the corner trying to get out of the tank.  Yours look a lot happier!

Re: My Turtles

man, i want a turtle for the kids, my maid of honor at my wedding has this cute baby box turtle for her son.

we had a red ear slider when we were kids and that sucker bit! But then again he was wild caught I think. Atleast I think it was a red ear slider, it was huge!! Salad plate sized!
