Science trivia

The rules are simple; answer the question and then post a new question that is appropriate for the topic.
If your not sure but want to guess, post your answer and then check to see if your right; if you were wrong, post a message telling people, and repeat the question for others to guess.

Any of the major sciences will do.

What is the closest planet to the earth. (be sure and double check your answer) smile

At what point is Pluto not the farthest planet from the sun?

(I was taught that Pluto was the 9th planet and contrary to modern scientists, IT  IS STILL A PLANET)

Re: Science trivia

When it crosses the orbit of Neptune, as part of it's highly elliptical orbit.
I agree that it is a planet; to say it is something that requires a different name, without renaming things as vastly different as Gas giants and terrestrial planets in ludicrous.

Name a type of rock.

Seven, just like most mammals, just much larger :-)
