chickn, that last pic is a rhododendron, right?


I had 2 in the corner of my yard and the deer ate it!  doh  Needless to say, I didn't give them a 3rd one to eat.

it is, mine was planted by the previous owners, in the shade, so they bloom every other yr it seems,,,lol  there is a white one next to it, but it wasnt its yr to bloom.

Chickn- BEAUTIFUL!!  I don't know how I missed these.  Lilacs are my favorite sad

Believe it or not, I have a rose (one) in bloom right now.  Sad to see them go.  Pretty much just the rose and the wildflowers (not planted lol) are left.

As for your Rhododendron- I thought they only bloomed every other year?  And if you wanted them to bloom EVERY year you had to do a hard prune to the ground?  My sister had a few, but I don't really know that much about them.
