Crochet stuff, Attn Hookers

I hope this sits well with all of you; I have been attempting to ramp up the exposure of the Crochet portion of the website.
I have been establishing link exchanges and have just put together a tentative links page for crochet.
I would also like to have some instructional pages for crochet, and related topics.
Anyone who wants to help out with this, please feel free to put together any instructional pages you would like; or if you all want to work together on something that I can turn into an html page.

I hope that this is a direction that you all feel is beneficial to the group, and wanted.

Your input is encouraged smile

Steve

Added: I don't know crap about crochet, so I'm relying on you all to help out on this thing smile

Re: Crochet stuff, Attn Hookers

I usually will do a step by step process of a specific stitch if someone requests it, but I don't think that I have them saved in Photobucket.

Is there something specific you're looking for?

Re: Crochet stuff, Attn Hookers

I swear I thought I had replied to this early this morning, I had a post all done, maybe I didn't hit the submit button  roll

This is what I thought of....

We need instructions (and pics) for the following things...

How to weave those ends

RACHY2000

* How to crochet/basic stitches
* Changing colors/carrying colors
* Circular crochet

BANTYCHICKMOM

* How to make a basic granny square
* Joining squares/panels  (using sewing method)

B&C RANCH

* FPDC    and   BPDC
* Afghan stitch

I know we have many talented hookers here so if anyone can help out with some of these things or if you have any more ideas, PLEASE share them and let me know what you can help with!

Thanks in advance!  smile

Re: Crochet stuff, Attn Hookers

I'm not done fixing the links on this page but you can get a sneak peak.
When I make these websites I have to make two different versions, one for the subforum and one for the mirror at Mrsnesbitsdiner.com
I have a tendency to get some of the links mixed up.

Re: Crochet stuff, Attn Hookers

Steve, that's not "Red" the chicken. He won't turn out looking like that one.

PS-

I'll do some tutorials: How about

Basic Stitches
Changing Colors/Carrying Colors
and Circular Crochet (Start of a GS and/or other round project)

Thanks Rachy for doing some tutorials.  yay
Can I ask if you could also include the "HOW TO CROCHET" in with the basic stitches as well?   Just  a little info on how all crochet begins with the chain stitch and consists of  intertwining yarn together using a variety of basic stitches........and anything else you can come up with to add!  smile

I'm gonna start on "how to make a basic granny square"  tutorial.
I know there are several ways to join squares/panels but I usually just sew them together.  If anyone wants to do a tutorial showing the different ways to join, that would be great, if not, I'll do the "sewing" one!
