I'm afraid the rooster got too old (unproductive and selfish tongue), but we're getting a new roo chicken this summer and hope he will turn out as good please2

I have a bunch of SLW chickens at the moment and am struggling to pick out which roo chicken to keep..

I have completely fallen for these colours, which unfortunately are so rare here it's difficult to get hold of new ones sads

But I must say I'm baffled by the single combs I saw a couple of pictures of in this thread - does this happen often in the US? Anyone know why? I haven't seen a single comb wyandotte here..

My 5 week olds...LOVE them...we had a buff and a rir but the buff was a roo and the rir was taken by a cat;
so I splurged w these...arent they cute...will try to get better shots...Zelda and nurse betty are their names, the jury is out on the slow to feather gal so its either johnny or june:
